WordSnap ("the App") recognizes words in your photos to help you build personal vocabulary decks and memorize them. The App does not directly collect or store your personal information; all of your learning data stays on your device.
The App does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or phone number. There is no sign-up or login.
The App requests the following permissions:
Photos and images accessed through these permissions are processed only on your device and are never transmitted or uploaded to any external server.
The App uses Google ML Kit text recognition to read words from photos.
All text recognition runs offline (on-device). Captured or selected images and the recognized text are never sent to an external server.
Your decks, words, example sentences, study history, and app settings are stored solely in your device's internal storage.
The App does not transmit this data to any server, and the developer cannot access it.
To provide more natural English pronunciation, the App can download a high-quality offline voice model once, at your choice.
This is a simple file download of the voice model only; no personal information is sent with it. After downloading, speech works on-device without an internet connection.
The App uses Google AdMob ads.
AdMob may collect an advertising identifier, device information, and usage data to serve and measure ads.

The App does not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except that data described in Section 6 may be collected by Google through its advertising service (AdMob).
The App is not primarily directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or feature changes. Any changes will be posted on this page.
